Since its inception, Gristmill’s building philosophy has been To help lead and negotiate sustainability of the Earth’s natural resources while enhancing the surrounding landscape for our community. This is more than just a marketing slogan—it goes to the core of who we are.

Long before the term “green design” was popularized in design/construction, Gristmill was executing genuinely green projects. When we talk to you about an eco-friendly design we are considering everything, from a structure’s footprint on the landscape and our impact during construction to the use of reclaimed or re-purposed materials and maximum energy efficiency in the final product. We will personally guide you throughout the sometimes complex process of choosing the right materials and making informed decisions. Together, we will create a unique and comfortable home that you can be proud of from the inside out.
